Meet the Founding Team
Led by clinicians who understand autism
Meadow Health was founded by a team of clinicians, researchers, and advocates who have spent their careers working with families affected by autism spectrum disorder. We built this company to help bridge the gap between published research and accessible clinical care.
Our Leadership
The people behind Meadow

John Gaitanis, MD
Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer
A board-certified pediatric neurologist with over two decades of clinical and research experience in autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Gaitanis has spent his career at the intersection of academic medicine and patient care, pioneering biomarker-guided treatment approaches that move beyond one-size-fits-all protocols. His work in cerebral folate deficiency has directly informed the clinical framework behind Meadow Health.

John Slattery

An ASD researcher and business leader whose career has been defined by translating clinical science into accessible care models. With deep experience in clinical trial design and precision medicine strategy, John brings both scientific rigor and operational clarity to Meadow Health. He is driven by a simple conviction: families navigating autism deserve better than the status quo.

Candace McDonald

Candace has spent her career in healthcare communications and go-to-market strategy, specializing in the rare ability to translate complex science into language that resonates with families. Meadow's Mission
Manifesto
Meadow isn’t just a platform. It’s a commitment.
A commitment to communicate with respect. To lead with evidence, not hype. And to the autism community that has carried families for decades.
We believe parents are not bystanders in their child’s care. They are partners, advocates, and experts in their own right.
We believe every child with autism deserves access to current, research-informed care options, not just the ones that are easiest to prescribe.
We have built accessibility into our model, so cost doesn’t become another closed door. 1% of our annual sales supports parent-led autism organizations and helps families access Meadow Biosciences services.
We believe in building slowly, carefully, and with integrity. We would rather serve 100 families well than 10,000 families poorly.
This is the heart of Meadow: clear guidance, credible care, and real partnership with the autism community.
Clear guidance. Credible care. Real partnership.
Because the families doing this work every day deserve more than awareness. They deserve investment.
